This is a high quality print of my original painting ""RED THIN LINE" , created in 2018 (Copyright © 2018 by Robert Zietara). The reproduction meets the requirements of FineArt prints. The entire production process takes place in my art studio in Norway. Each print is created on acid free papers using archival inks to guarantee that they last a lifetime without fading or loss of color. Combination of Hahnemühle Photo Rag paper and 12 colors archival inks produces outstanding prints that feature brilliant colors, deep blacks, striking contrasts and and impressive pictorial depth, lending each artwork a three-dimensional appearance.

All of my prints are hand-signed (on the back) and will be ship from my studio within two business days.

RED THIN LINE painting illustrating a Japanese girl who is just about to commit ritual suicide formally known as seppuku or harakiri. It usually involved cutting the abdomen open with a short sword, which was believed to immediately release the samurai's spirit to the afterlife. Seppuku was not only reserved for man. Women of the samurai class often committed seppuku if their husbands died in battle or were forced to kill themselves. Women would first bind their legs together with a silk cloth to prevent an unseemly posture after death.
